Sometimes I just hate our hobby. Many of us are creative types and we generate so much amazing things that my attention I end up getting lost and halting all activity as I ponder what might I do next. Seriously, it is a struggle. I recently discovered Tricube Tales, which I absolutely love. So after looking at numerous systems, settings, rules, etc, I thought perhaps I would go back to my story of Rufus and Silas but use Tricube Tales. Converting them to these rules will be interesting.
Will this happen? Fuck if I know, we will see...
Sounds like a worthy endeavor. The struggle is real, I find myself chasing systems, rather than just playing!
ReplyDeleteI have waffled on what system to use for two weeks, literally thought about starting so many times. I have looked at some FKR systems, my own personal systems, Tricube Tales, Risus, and Tombpunk......
DeleteThe struggle is real.
Simplicity of the acoustic guitar: pick it up, play it, find a riff, check the Hips (women) and Heads (men) for riff viability, record, put it down. Leave. No pedalboard nonsense, SPL amplifier woes, tangled cables and arguing over 440/432. Toss the waffle iron into the neighbor's yard.
ReplyDeleteStruggle over.
What the eff is (are?) Tricube Tales?
ReplyDeleteRules lite game system, I think with roots in Savage Worlds. Pretty neat narrate system.
